Drawn by the elegance of elaborate constructions and genuine eco-design, AUGUSTA’s original creations are presented in ultra-numbered, made-to-order editions.
All of our staples are conceived using the highest quality materials from the most committed and innovative suppliers, in which every garment is crafted using locally sourced deadstock fabrics only – all made from natural, organic, biodegradable, recycled and vegan fibers with complete supply chain transparency.
AUGUSTA works directly together with independent artisans and small family-owned manufactories in France and Brazil, in accordance with its core value of promoting fairtrade handicrafts and telling the stories behind their traditional techniques.
Who’s AUGUSTA?
Carolina-Augusta Neumann is a German-Brazilian fashion designer residing in Paris. She began designing from her adoration of research, ornamentation and her own personal ecological concerns.
Having first graduated in Cinema with a diploma in Film Costume Design and Scenography in Buenos Aires, Carolina-Augusta moved to Paris in 2013 to improve her technical skills at the École de la Chambre Syndicale.
Not interested in pursuing a traditional fashion career, she founded AUGUSTA in late 2015 bringing together her know-how of embellishment in a carefully designed sustainable and vegan brand of her own then becoming among the first designers advocating for sustainable luxury.
Her main inspirations come from the many countries she has lived and traveled, her own multi-cultural origins, the thousands of films she has studied and her passion for historical costume and artisanal craftsmanship.
